Top 6 Best Natural Remedies for Acne

Got pesky acne or blemishes that just won’t budge? Try these 100% natural remedies you can do at home for a quick fix that won’t cost a penny.

1. Dab a little tea tree oil onto acne

Tea tree oil can effectively clear up acne because it has amazing anti-inflammatory  properties. Although the effect may not be as speedy as benzoyl peroxide, but tea tree oil is not only natural but safe for sensitive skin.
Method: Dab a little on a Q-tip and apply to affected area twice a day but don’t overdo it as any more could dry up your skin and make acne worse!

2. Rinse your face with a green tea cleanser

Whether as a drink or your favourite matcha dessert, green tea has far more benefits than just satisfying your sweet tooth. Green tea is great because it has antimicrobial and antioxidant compounds that help to soothe, cleanse and fight acne.

Method: Use a cooled cup of green tea as a face wash or lay the teabag on the affected area. Or drink plenty of green tea!

3. DIY your own honey mask

Sweeten your complexion with honey because its strong antibiotic properties can improve the appearance of acne. It’s best to use natural raw honey as it still contains the true essence of honey rather than just well, sugar.

Method: Apply a teaspoon of honey to the affected area or mix ½ cup of honey with 1 cup of plain oats to create a soothing mask. Apply mask for 30 minutes.
